TRAVEL AGENTS ASSOCIATION OF MID-MICHIGAN (TAAMM)^×Ms. Griffin is the 2001-2002 President of TAAMM, an organization of agency owners in the Flint and Genesee County area whose goal is to service the needs of local travelers in the best manner possible. Prior to her position as President, Griffin held the position of vice-president for TAAMM.

KIWANIS CLUB OF FLUSHING^×Ms. Griffin is a member and the 2001 vice-president of the Kiwanis Club of Flushing.

THOMAS E. LAWRENCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND^×Ms. Griffin is on the Board of Directors of this locally-established scholarship fund devoted to providing financial assistance to college-bound high school graduates.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE^×Ms. Griffin has been a member of the Flushing Chamber of Commerce since 1999 and is a committee member of Flushing^Òs yearly Harvest Festival.

Prior to establishing her Travel Agency, Ms. Griffin was employed by GENERAL ELECTRIC for 13 years. She moved extensively while with GE living in Cleveland, Boston, Washington DC, Denver, Atlanta and Houston. At the time she left GE, Ms. Griffin was vice-president of human resources for one of GE Capital^Òs businesses in Houston, Texas.

After leaving GE, she spent a year living in Tahiti with her young daughter. The experience of living in and learning about this exotic destination led to her decision to open up her own travel agency. Ms. Griffin is a native of Flushing and has one daughter.
