Born Flint, Michigan. Attended Flint Public Schools and Flint Jr. College (now Mott). United States Navy during W.W.II. Alma College (BS degree), Western Reserve University Graduate School (now Case-Western Reserve Univ.) (Math & Chemistry), Western Reserve Univ. School of Medicine (MD degree). Work Experience: 12 years in my Father's pharmacies, varying jobs new home construction (Gerholz/Healy Homes), summer assembly jobs Chevrolet and Fisher Body, Paulson-Johnson Co. (Flint & Cleveland, OH), 39 years practicing and teaching Internal Medicine (1954-1993), professorial Internal Medicine appointments Michigan State College of Human Medicine (1973-1993) appointed Associate Clinical Professor Emeritus (1995). Medical Staff Board experience at Hurley Medical Center and McLaren Regional Medical Center including Chairman of Credentials and Constitution & Bylaws Committees. President and Treasurer of two small Corporations, a small Automobile Leasing Partnership and a rental property partnership. Non-profit involvement: Cultural Center, particularly Flint Institute of Music and Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Executive Service Corps, Genesee Free-Net and many others to a lesser degree. Genesee Free-Net: Charter Member, Office Operations Committee, Office volunteer, Helpdesk, assist the System Administrator, Chair Bylaws Committee, "Board Member since 1996". |
