OLD BUSINESS
Web Site Committee
Chad reported that page
views software has been installed.
Office Operations
Marilyn
reported. The question of a fee for renewing an expired free account was
discussed. V. Lotfi made a motion that Kenny will write a script that
will inform free account owners who have not used their accounts automatically
that they have 3 months to use the account. If they have not used it
after that time, the owner will get a warning and an additional one month of
use. If the account is still not used, it will be deleted. S.
Gifford supported the motion. It passed unanimously.
Technical Committee:
Kenny reported the
new server has the operating system on and that he will put the rest of the
software on it. The cutover to the new server will be on a Saturday
morning. The committee will send the office a message giving the
date. The new server has 72 gb on hard drive space.
Kenny installed new
software to encounter spam. It works by not letting anything through
that isn't in strict compliance with all standards and there must have a
returning machine. It immediately cut spam messages by 4000 to 5000 and
definitely cut down the really bad stuff.
System Administration:
Nothing new.
Chad is cleaning up logs. The question came up of who to call when the
office notices server trouble. Chad, Kenny, and Scott agreed to give
their phone numbers and e-mail addresses to the office staff. They will
leave voice mail if there are problems so that the office voice mail can be
changed and to notify Larry at home if the problem is deemed serious enough in
their judgment.
New
Business:
None.
Next Meeting:
August 28, 2003 at 5:15 pm at the Flint Area Convention and Visitors
Bureau. The
marketing plan will be discussed at 5:00 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Pat Peterson, Secretary
