Charter Members - Charter members believed enough in the vision of a community computer network to contribute $100 each in August 1994 to Dec. 1, 1994 -- before the Genesee Free-Net went online. The contributions allowed the organization to buy necessary hardware and software to bring the Genesee Free-Net online on Dec. 15, 1994.

Measuring A Vision - The work involved in creating the Genesee Free-Net is at times overwhelming. And it is easy to feel that the work has been unnecessary or, perhaps, unwanted. Or maybe it's just that the same issues keep coming back. Or maybe it's just that the work is always there. So what has the Genesee Free-Net done?
