WordPerfect Files
Yes. First you must save an ascii version of the
file, then upload the file to an email message you are composing.
WordPerfect files have imbedded, hidden binary characters in the text to
tell WP where there is an indent, underline, etc. These cannot be emailed,
so you must strip them out by making an ascii version. Ascii files have no
such characters. How to do this depends on which WP version you have. In
WP 5.2, press <Ctrl>-F5 , "1. DOS text" and go from there.
Save the ascii version of your file in the subdirectory you've specified
for uploads in your communication program. How to do that depends on the
program. Get into the GFN and start an email message. After filling out the
header and placing the cursor in the text body, start uploading the file.
You'll see the file displayed across the screen as if you're typing it.
