This
is our second year holding classes open to the public.
Last year was a success, as the students enjoyed
themselves and learned a great deal about sailing.
Class are offered to children (ages 7 and older), as
well as adults interested in learning how to sail on
small sailboats.

Students of ages 7 and up will learn the
basics to sailing and operating an Optimist Pram.
Covers boat parts, rigging, de-rigging, and
sailing (follow the leader style).
Level II: Boat Handling
Session 1:

Students of ages 7 and up will build upon
their skills learned in Level I.
They will become proficient at sailing in any
direction and most wind conditions. *Two sessions of
Level I are standard the prerequisite.*
Level III: Learn to Race

Students will learn the basics of racing,
advanced sailing techniques, racing rules of
sailing, and about regattas.
Optimist prams, lasers, or sunfish maybe used.
*There will be no class Tuesday, August 2. Classes
will run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of
this week.
Junior Sail Team
Session 1:
June 20 - 23 PM
Session 2:
June 27—30 PM
This class is meant to teach racing skills to the
more advanced sailor.
Volunteers are needed to support team regatta
travel through the summer.
A limited number of prams are available.
For race team only— most Lasers and other
racing classes must provide their own boat.
Friday Open Sailing
- Prerequisite is completion of Level I or instructor
permission. Costs and times available upon request.
