ST. JOHN VIANNEY SCRIP PROGRAM
WHAT IS SCRIP?
It is a year round program that allows you to purchase gift certificates to local and national retailers, specialty stores, clothing stores, grocery stores, gas stations, hotels, entertainment venues, etc. These gift certificates are purchased from us at face value and SJVS students benefit from the 2-25% revenue given back by these retailers. This provides the opportunity to raise significant revenue to support our school while not asking our families, relatives and friends to spend additional dollars “out of pocket”. We all need to buy groceries, gas, clothes and gifts - so why not purchase SCRIP certificates for the money you would spend anyway...and know that you are helping our students.
For example: Purchase $50 for Bennigan’s Restaurant
$6.50 comes back directly to our school
WHERE DO WE ORDER?
Order forms are available in the church and school office. They can be sent to school with your child, hand delivered or dropped in the church collection. All orders must be received by 3:30 p.m. on Monday afternoons and the certificates/cards will be available after 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Orders can be sent home with a student, picked up in the church or school office, or mailed. Cash, check, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
ARE THERE CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE PURCHASE?
Yes! We keep a supply of the most popular certificates on hand in the church office for purchase from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. They are also for sale at various school functions.
HOW DOES THE TUITION/SCRIP CREDIT WORK?
As you purchase certificates, revenue is returned to the school. When your family’s profit reaches $50 you will receive a credit voucher for 20% or $10. This credit voucher can be used towards your next tuition payment or it can be used to purchase SCRIP certificates. Either way, it pays to participate regularly. A note to those who use the credit card to pay, your family’s profit is adjusted depending on the method you use.
