THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WILL BE USED TO REPORT THE ADVANCEMENT
OF BOY SCOUTS.
SCOUT:
1. The Scout passes all the requirements to earn the rank.
TROOP ADVANCEMENT CHAIRMAN:
1. The Troop Advancement Chairman records the Scout's
advancement on the Individual Scout Record.
2. The Troop Advancement Chairman consolidates and
records the troop's advancement on a Council Advancement
Report. If the report is computer generated, prepare
three signed copies.
3. The Troop Advancement Chairman takes the Advancement Report to
the Council Office and purchases the ranks needed. If the troop is
100% Boys Life, the Council Advancement Committee will pay for the
rank badges.
COUNCIL OFFICE:
1. The Council Office records the date of receipt of
the Advancement Report and returns the green copy to
the Troop Advancement Chairman.
2. The Council Office forwards the pink copy to the
District Advancement Chairman.
3. The Council Office records rank advancement in the computer for
a permanent record.
4. The Council Office files the Advancement Report in the unit's
file.
SCOUT:
1. The Scout receives his advancement as soon as possible.
