Camp Holaka

With 340 acres of rolling woodlands and trails in Lapeer County, Camp Holaka offers many camping choices. It also has many cabins and a couple lodges for indoor camping and many campsites for tent camping. During the summer, Camp Holaka is used primarily for Cub Scout camping with different day camps and weekend events. For more information you can contact the camp ranger at (810) 664-4063.

Camp Reservation Policy - Reservations for camp facilities / campsites at Camp Holaka & Camp Tapico for the dates 9/1/07 thru 5/31/08 can be made after June 1, 2007.

Attention: Camp Announcement

In 2005 you have seen and experienced the many improvements at both Camp Holaka and Camp Tapico. These improvements include a new Fire Bowl, Archery Range and new Pavilions at Camp Tapico. In 2005, Camp Holaka’s infrastructure has greatly improved with new Shower and Restroom facilities and many improved campsites.

Improvements like these are paramount to the future of scouting and creating the ultimate camping experience for our youth. Funding for these projects has and will continue to come from a wide variety of sources. However, in order to maintain and continue with additional improvements to our camps, as well as offset rising operational costs like propane, electricity, etc, we are implementing an additional usage fee starting January 1, 2006. This fee will be $2.00 per participant (both youth and adult) at camp.

In 2006, we are executing plans to continue the improvements of our camps and you will continuously see changes being made throughout the year. We understand the importance of offering a quality camping experience to our youth and we strive to offer only the best. Thank you for your understanding and your dedication to scouting.

This does not affect the summer camp programs for 2006 or any reservations placed prior to January 1, 2006.
