Whaley Historical House Museum provides a unique atmosphere for small weddings, staff retreats, holiday parties and nearly every other function you can imagine. Below is a listing of rates for having your next event at Whaley Historical House Museum. Please contact WHHM to schedule a tour of our facility prior to confirming your reservation.

Rates

Rental Plan I: Small Groups (24 persons or less)

• Rate: $30.00 per hour.
• Full payment due ten business days prior to rental date.
• Security Deposit: $50.00, refundable.
• Due with signed rental agreement.
• Kitchen and dishware: Available for an additional $20.00.
• (Fee waived for Friends of WHHM.)

Rental Plan II: Large Groups (25 to 50 persons)

• Rate: $100.00 per hour.
• Full payment due ten business days prior to rental date.
• Security Deposit: $150.00, refundable.
• Due with signed rental agreement.
• Kitchen and dishware: Included.
• Rental Plan III: Weddings

• Wedding Option A: Rehearsal, Wedding, and Reception
• Rental of museum for a rehearsal for a maximum of two hours.
• Rental of museum for wedding and reception for a maximum of six hours.
• Maximum fifty people in attendance.
• Includes use of kitchen and dishware.
• Rate: $400.00
• Full payment due ten business days prior to the event.
• Security Deposit: $150.00, refundable.
• Due with signed rental agreement.
• Wedding Option B: Wedding and Reception
• Rental of museum for wedding and reception for a maximum of six hours.
• Maximum fifty people in attendance.
• Includes use of kitchen and dishware.
• Rate: $350.00
• Full payment due ten business days prior to the event.
• Security Deposit: $150.00, refundable.
• Due with signed rental agreement.

Wedding Option C: Wedding Only

• Rental of museum for wedding for a maximum of three hours.

• Maximum fifty people in attendance.
• Rate: $250.00
• Full payment due ten business days prior to the event.
• Security Deposit: $150.00, refundable.
• Due with signed rental agreement.

• Rules of Use

Whaley Historical House Museum does not provide catering services. However, WHHM can supply a listing of approved caterers upon request.

WHHM staff and representatives will be on the premises for the entirety of the event.

Any damage sustained to the premises or artifacts of WHHM will result in the loss of deposit.

During the agreed rental period, both floors of WHHM will be available to the lessee and their guests. Food and beverages are prohibited in the Front Parlor and on the Second Floor.

Due to the historic nature of WHHM, there are restrictions on certain types of foods, beverages, and decorations.

Lessee/caterer is responsible for cleaning the spaces they used and for the removal of all garbage. Failure to due so may result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

• Foods:
• Preparation of foods over an open flame is prohibited. However, wick chafer fuel may be used to warm dishes.
• Beverages:
• All drinks with staining properties are prohibited.
• The only alcoholic beverages allowed are white wine and champagne.
• If alcoholic beverages are to be served, the lessee must provide a copy of their personal certificate of insurance with full payment. Neither WHHM nor its staff or representatives are liable for alcoholic beverages served to the lessee's guests.
• Guests determined by WHHM staff or representatives to be disorderly will be asked to leave the premises.
• Decorations:
• Tape, nails, tacks, and staples may not be used on any surfaces.
• No candles are allowed except for a unity candle during a wedding ceremony.
• Confetti, rice, birdseed, bubbles, and balloons are not permitted.
